Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 939!
Cub Scout Pack 939 was chartered in 2023 and serves the youth from 1st - 5th grade in the Lyons, Georgia area! We are a part of the Satilla District in the Coastal Georgia Council. We are a Family Pack. Family Scouting is the BSA’s initiative to open Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) to both boys and girls. In Cub Scouts, this means that Packs have the option to be boys only, mixed gender, or girls only. Pack 939 is mixed gender, because we believe that a lot of learning and growth comes from boys and girls interacting as peers in scouting activities.
Cub Scout Den Meetings are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6-8 depending on which den you are in. Your Den Meetings will be at the Scout Hut located behind Lyons First United Methodist Church which is also home to Lyons BSA Troop 939. Your Pack Meetings will be once a month at The Callaway Building in Partin Park of Lyons on the third Thursday each month from 6:30-8. The Cub Scout year operates in conjunction with the school year, meaning we meet from August until May. In the months of June and July, we will have special activities to try and keep our youth engaged such as earning the summertime award and attending summer camp.
